OnePlus One

Design
The OnePlus One, the smartphone with a flagship's specs but doesn't cost as a flagship device. The OnePlus One comes in two different colors: white, which is the material is called "baby skin", and sandstone black  that has a texture for a better grip of the device. At the is the camera and its dual flash under; the OnePlus logo is right under the camera. At the front is the huge display and it's small bezels, the front facing camera and the capacitive buttons which the light for it is very low and hard to see but with the OnePlus customizable software, you can change it to the on screen buttons. For the physical button layouts, at the right is the power key which is low for the finger to easily reach and on the left is the volume rocker. On the top is the earphone jack while on the bottom are the dual speakers and the USB charging port. Oh, and you can also remove the back cover to change it.

Display
For the display, it is a gorilla glass 3 with LTPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, 1080 x 1920 pixels, 5.5 inches (401 ppi pixel density). With a display like that it is good to watch videos and play games on. Viewing angles are good and the colors are accurate.

Camera
As for the camera, it comes with a lot of features build into the Google camera interface, it gives you scene modes live filters and so on. The front facing camera is a 5MP(1080p@30fps), the rear camera is 13 MP, 4128 x 3096 pixels, autofocus with dual-LED flash; it does take good pictures, in low light and well lit areas. It also shoots in 4k; for video recording, it shoots 2160p@30fps, 2160p(DCI)@24fps, 1080p@60fps, 720p@120fps and HDR.

Performance and battery life
It's not all about the build quality and the camera, it's also what is under the hood of this device. Inside the OnePlus One is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, clocked at 2.5 GHz, and backed by the Adreno 330 GPU with 3 GB of RAM. Switching through apps and multitasking should be a breeze, also, you shouldn't have any lagging when playing games with huge files; for a phone that doesn't cost as a flagship device, it holds up pretty good with specs like that. Powering this device is a 3100mAh non-removable  battery, even though I like it when you can remove the battery to swap it out with a fully charged one, you shouldn't worry too much on battery life. Just give it a full charge and it should give you at least a day worth of usage.

Software
Now it's down to the software, the OnePlus One is running Android 4.4 kit with CyanogeneMod 11S on top which is close to stock Android, but packs a lot of customization to it. Turning on the phone your greated with the lock screen, moving away from that your entering the hint screen with the widgets and icons; if you don't like how the phone looks like and would want to set it up the way you want to, you can do so either with Cyanogen’s own powerful theme engine or through the settings. It comes with a lot of features like on-screen gestures for eg: double tap on the lock screen and it'll unlock it, drawing a "v" can turn on the flashlight and drawing a "c" can activate the camera. Though you can accidentally make a gesture and that would be annoying every time it's happening plus it can drain your battery if you don't notice it as soon. If you happen to like on screen buttons or capacitive buttons or maybe both, you would be happy with this feature, you can either switch between on screen buttons or capacitive buttons. As I stated earlier that this phone has a lot of features to customize it to your liking.
