The LG G3 retains the rear buttons like the LG G2, making them more rounded and flatter. The G3 is made of plastic, but is cunningly disguised to almost seem as though it's made of metal. You can get it in three colours such as: black, gold and white. You can get this on eBay right now for $789 (USD) - $989 (USD). The dimensions of the phone is 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9mm this device is certainly large in size, but that is to be expected with it's large 5.5-inch screen and the tiny bezels, curved and removable back cover; the weight is at 149g.
With the large 5.5-inch screen, the display is Quad HD (2560 x 1440) IPS LCD screen with a pixel density of 538ppi. So yeah, the screen is just not big, it's high resolution.
With a 13MP rear camera, like the one before (LG G2), but it has some improvements as it now has a dual LED flash, OIS+ and a laser autofocus. The front facing camera come with a 2.1MP offering it to take sharp picture and it focus quickly.
The LG G3 has a 2.5GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2 or 3GB of RAM depending on whether you go for the 16GB or 32GB model and an Adreno 330 GPU. The G3 comes with a removable 3000mAh battery.
Currently, the LG G3 is running the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat and it will be overlaid with LG's Optimus UI. The look of it is not what you might be use to, the entire look has changed, instead it gives a circular and flatter icons. It also gives you this new feature in the form of 'Smart Notice'. It provides context sensitive information, suggestions and reminders based on where you are, the status of your phone and your behaviour with the phone. So for example when you get to work in the morning it might ask if you want to turn Wi-Fi on, or if you haven't used an app for a few months it might ask if you want to delete it. The G3 also includes a Knock Code, which isn't a new thing as it's already been on other LG handsets, but it is an addition, as it allows you to wake up and unlock your phone with a series of taps when the screen is off. You can even set your own knock pattern too.
The LG G3 also gives you a new case called QuickCircle case. This case is very useful, as it gives you the ability to charge your phone wirelessly and you can interact with the phone while the case is closed. It works with a circular cut out at the top of the screen cover of the case, which has some circular widgets that allows you to control the phone from music to calls without opening the case. The QuickCircle Case is sold separately and comes in black, white, pink, gold and mint.
