iPhone 6 Plus review

Intro
iPhone 6 plus is currently the latest version of the iPhones, along with the iPhone 6. Yes, the 6 plus is obviously bigger than the 6. It might be too big for some people, or just the right size for others. I like it because it is slightly better than the iPhone 6 and big.

Design
For the design, the sides are rounded. It is not ugly to me, it look good, but I would prefer the iPhone 5, 5S etc... design because the sides are flat. Not that rounded sides are ugly to me, they look good, I just like that flat chamfered sides more. At the front are the home button with touch ID, the front camera, the speaker you listen through when on a call and the screen obviously. The back, you'll see the camera, dual LED flash, the apple logo and those lines, one at the top and bottom. Some people may think it makes the phone looks ugly some may not. Why it is there is because the phone now supports NFC. The phone is made out of aluminum so they had to put those lines that are plastic for the NFC antennas. In the left side of the phone are the silent lock switch and under is the volume rocker. Apple has moved to power/lock button from the top to the top right side which I think is good because it is easier to reach. Down at the bottom are the: speaker, charging port, mic and the earphone jack. The iPhone 6 Plus is available in: silver, gold and space grey.

Display
The display, it is 5.5 inches (401 ppi pixel density) LED backlit IPS LCD. The colors are good, not over saturated. Viewing angles are not bad, it doesn't look too washed out, it's good. It gets pretty bright, so viewing it in daylight is not that bad, it's good. The screen is curved along the sides for a seamless finish. I'm glad apple finally made a phone with a bigger display because tying on a small screen is a bit challenging for me, plus watching videos on a bigger panel is great. I love big displays, but don't want them to get any better than what they are now.

Camera
Around the back there is a 8MP (3264x2448 pixels) camera with dual flash. With the OIS (optical image stabilization), it takes great photos. For low light, it okay, it's good along with shooting in HDR. Video quality on the 6+ is really nice and it focuses faster than the 5S. Moving on to the front camera, it is a 1.2MP that shoots 720p@30fps. It takes good selfies, especially when you are in good lighting, but not as good as the rear camera.

Software
On to the software. It is running on iOS8 which is not that much different from the iPhone 6 or the 5S. You get some features like being able to download third party keyboards, better performance around the phone; you can also put widgets on, but only in the notification bar. Double tapping on the home button can scale down the phone's interface so that you don't have to do any hand gymnastics or stretching too far to use the phone. On the home screen, the screen now rotates when you turn the phone landscape. It can be a little annoying at times but you can turn off the rotation, but it's a little cool to have your home screen rotates. However, this feature is not available on the iPhone 6, only the 6 +. It is very simplistic, so getting around it is going to be a breeze. NFC (Near Field Communication) is now apart of it but, it only works for apple pay.

Performance and battery life
Running under the hood is the apple A8 chipset, a Dual core 1.4GHz Cyclone (ARM v8-based) CPU and a GPU of Power VR GX6450 (quad core graphics). Now, this phone is smooth, it holds up great when comparing to the Nexus 6  and the Note 4, and those two phones are fast. Playing games such as asphalt, real racing 3 etc... is smooth but, playing games extensively will make the phone get a little hot and it can get a little sluggish when running out of memory. Speaking of memory it is available in 16(USD: $299) / 64 (USD: $399) and 128(USD: $499) GB (prices are from Apple's website) with no expandable memory and 1GB or RAM. There is a non removable 2915 mAh battery which is bigger than the 6. A full on charge with moderate usage, it should last you for the day.
