As like the last time when Samsung released the Galaxy S4 active after the Galaxy S4, this time is the same with the Galaxy S5 , the release for an Galaxy S5 active. The Galaxy S5 Active is the same as the Galaxy S5 in software features, but it does have a difference with it. The Galaxy S5 active is more prone to drops, this phone is tougher and more hardcore with hard handling.
Currently, it costs $714.99, but is available for $199.99 on a two-year contract in the US for AT&T.
By looking at the Galaxy S5 Active, it looks tough and like it can withstand rough handling. Even though it's made of plastic and not metal, the plastic is tough build with enlarged bumpers on the corners to protect the phone and four dots that look like screws. At the left hand side of the phone is the volume rocker and a blue shortcut button above that, and the right hand side is wear the power button; at the is wear the IR blaster and headphone Jack. Samsung has removed the capacitive button and instead put hard buttons you can actually see. At the back is like the S5, which is the 16 megapixel camera, below is the flash with heart rate monitor, and at the bottom left is the speaker. The phone is of course a little heavier and thicker than the S5. Oh, and it is indeed ip67 water and dust resistance, also it has a removable battery and you can expand the memory with an SD card.

The camera, the Galaxy S5 Active brings the same 16-MP camera just like the Galaxy S5, that is, you'll get Real Time HDR and Selective Focus. Selective Focus enables you to take a shot and then decide whether you want to keep the foreground or background in focus afterward. Real Time HDR lets you preview images before you take them, creating more evenly lit photos under challenging conditions. For the front facing camera, you get a 2.1 megapixel to take selfies.
Powering this device is a large 2,800 mAh battery, the Galaxy S5 Active should provide you with a good amount of usage out if the battery. On a Laptop battery test, which involves continuous Web surfing over LTE on 150 nits of screen brightness, the phone lasted 9 hours and 37 minutes.
The the same as the Galaxy S5 with a flatter and tone down with Touchwiz on top the Android interface. Out of the box you currently get the latest version of, Android 4.4.2 kitkat. On the home screen you can say "Ok Google" and speak your command without touching the screen just like the S5. Swiping to the left of the home screen will bring up My Magazine, which is like flipboard where you can choose various topics to get news about. You can take it off if you want, if by any chance it might be annoying or your not use having no continuous swiping on the home screen.
The Galaxy S5 Active is running a 2.5-GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM. So playing games with huge files should be smoother than some other smartphones. Testers has tested it in benchmark and the Active got up to 2,977 in Geekbench 3 (multicore performance) and 18,691 in 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited (graphics).
