The first time i saw the xiaomi mi4, it reminds me a lot of the iPhone with its metal frame around it. I don't have any problems with its design at all, it's quite the looking. The back cover is a smooth texture which looks nice, but, when your hands gets sweaty, it would be easy to slide out your hands, but the phone is quite good looking. Like most smartphones, if you volume and power buttons are on the same side you would have the power key on top of the volume rocker, with this phone its the other way around, it might be wired to some people, but I guess it's better to reach when using one hand and you'll probably get use to it. Going into its UI, on most Android smartphones you'll find an app drawer separate from the home screen, the Xiaomi Mi4 doesn't have it separate, but it looks like it has widgets.
Just like how the iPhone is, that's how it is. The icons are square with rounded edges. Looks like its customizable, so you can change it up the way you want it like any Android device, though it's not the raw Android UI you'll be getting out of the box, instead you get the Xiaomi's UI which is not bad, it looks good.
