Samsung Gear Live
So, at the Google I/O 2014 some new smartwatches were revealed such as the Moto 360, LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live. The Gear Live looks a little like the Gear Neo but without the the button at the front, the IR blaster and the camera.
The Gear live has the silver look around the body to look more classy, with the same snap on strap like the Galaxy Gear 2 and can be changed to your liking. Along the right side is a button, I think can bring you to the home screen and it can it can give you different watch faces. Under the Gear Live is a heart rate monitor that works great with the S health app for the Galaxy devices. Not only that, it is quite light weighing in at 2.08 ounces.
The screen on the Gear Live is 1.63inches 320x320 pixel and a super AMOLED (278 ppi). It is a good screen for a watch with decent bezels around it and it is viewable out doors when your turn up the brightness.
Powering this watch is a 1.2GHz processor, 512MB of RAM with 4GB of internal storage and a 300mAh battery. Because it's a watch and it is not powering as much like a phone, I think it could last you a day worth of usage on one single full charge.
This is an Android Wear so it's running on Android L UI. Most of the UI is cards showing you weather, time, notifications and so on. It's like Google Now on your wrist, just say the hot word "Ok Google" and tell it your command, and it should do it from there. From the voice search you can create an alarm, set a schedule, play music etc...
